In Searching Healthcare Databases you will develop the skills and knowledge to perform a comprehensive literature search using the healthcare databases on NHS Evidence.
The course covers how to find relevant articles on a specific search topic quickly and easily using the most appropriate healthcare database, as well as how to access journal articles electronically and manage your search results. Whether you are completely new to database searching, or an experienced and confident literature searcher wanting to refresh your skills, this course will help you to develop essential information skills to support research, clinical practice or academic study.
- To be able to perform a comprehensive search on a healthcare database using a variety of search techniques, including the use of advanced search features where necessary.
