Searching E-journals and E-books covers how to access journal articles and e-books quickly and easily using the e-journal and e-book collections on NHS Evidence.
The course provides an essential introduction to using journals and books on line. You will learn how to search for specific journal titles, look up an article reference, download journal articles, and how to search and read e-books. The course covers how to print, save and email journal articles and book chapters, along with top tips on how to resolve common access problems using quick and simple trouble shooting strategies.
Searching E-journals and E-books is a highly practical course and is taught through a combination of group and individual exercises to help you to develop and practise your skills. By the end of the course you will have developed the skills and knowledge to independently access articles and e-books confidently and quickly.
- Search the e-journal and e-book collections on NHS Evidence.
- Be able to look up a journal article reference, browse the current issue of journals and download articles.
- Trouble shoot common access problems.
